I usually find that when I start a series the books beyond the first tend to be either a let down or not as good. This was not the case with the Time Mends. It is just as good as Destiny Binds and is a great continuation to the story Tammy Blackwell created for us.
It is just over a month since the accident that caused Alex's death and Scout is left unwilling to believe he is dead. Not only does she see his gray eyes watching her constantly and smell him in the woods, she spends time with him every night while she sleeps. Then the next full moon comes and she is jolted awake when Alex tells her to go to the woods and not be scared. A whirlwind of events leads her to the Alpha Pack where her fate will be decided for her.
This book provided me with a variety of emotions. I was happy, excited, angry, sad, and above all else, surprised. Scout finds her true self and begins to accept Alex's death and forgives those who played a part in his fate. Alex is the escape she needs in her dreamworld and helps her along her journey to her destiny. Charlie is very reserved and has a hard time being near Scout. Jase mends the broken relationship with his sister until he is forced into a position he wishes wasn't the only option until he finds his chance to get out and he bolts. Talley is once again her all-knowing self and finds she can project onto others.
The ending is a perfect lead into the third and final book, Fate Succumbs. I never wanted to put this book down. It was such a riveting story line that I took all the opportunities I had to read. If you enjoyed Destiny Binds, Time Mends should be at the top of your to-read list.
