Order of the Dimensions
by Irene Helenowski
Pages: 318
Available as of September 14, 2012
Amazon

When Jane Kremowski first began her graduate studies in physics at Madison State University in Wisconsin, little did she know where her work would take her. Now, she is embroiled in a multitude of dimensions all leading to different outcomes. She and her colleagues therefore must act wisely in order to take and keep away the Order of Dimension from falling into the wrong hands for the sake of her loved ones.

She turned her head to see Dr. Perkins feverishly trying to make a call but to no avail. "My cell phone is not working either," she confirmed with a slight unease. Just then, several men with flashlights appeared and the audience became relieved, believing the men to be part of security. The lights went back on, and the audience noticed the men were all dressed in black.
After a few moments, the figures in black began dragging individuals into the aisle and shouting; these men definitely were not security. A few of the men signaled to the ceiling, leading to ropes dropping down and several more black-dressed men sliding down the ropes to the floor of the hall and then to the stage. The room once again darkened causing the anxiety of the audience to rise significantly. Beating and screaming could be heard everywhere.
Someone grabbed Jane’s arm and dragged her to what she believed, in the dark, was the stage. She felt someone pushing her into a box. Was it possibly the Multiverser? Overwhelmed, she began gasping for air. She tried to scream but couldn't; she finally blacked out.

It's the summer before senior year and the alluring Angel is ready to have fun. She's not like her best friend, Inggy, who has a steady boyfriend, good grades, and college plans. Angel isn't sure what she wants to do yet, but she has confidence and experience beyond her years. Still, her summer doesn't start out as planned. Her good friend Joey doesn't want to fool around anymore, he wants to be her boyfriend, while Angel doesn't want to be tied down. As Joey pulls away, and Inggy tours colleges, Angel finds herself spending more time with Inggy's boyfriend, Cork. With its cast of vivid and memorable characters, this tale from the Jersey shore is sure to make some waves.

Rating:

My Review:
I didn't know what to expect when I picked up Jersey Angel. It sounded like something I would enjoy, and it was. I enjoyed every minute of this story of a girl who learns to grow up. Beth Ann Bauman wrote a fantastic novel!

Angel Cassonetti is a free spirit. She's seventeen and pretty much lives on her own. She loves her littler brother and sister and wants more attention and affection from her father. While she may be going from guy to guy, she knows what she wants. She just isn't ready to settle.

I really enjoyed Jersey Angel. It was packed with the usual teenage issues: love, sex, promiscuity, pregnancy, friendship, honesty, and fidelity. While some scenes weren't PG, it didn't sway my opinion of the novel. I didn't want to put it down because Angel was such a wonderful character. She had some faults and issues to work through, but she was more than entertaining, she was real.

Overall, I think Jersey Angel is most definitely worth the read. While there are a few explicit sex scenes that aren't necessarily for the younger audiences, they were succinct. Sex is part of who Angel is; therefore, important to the story.
